Backstory

Lore

Born to criminal royalty, Kaori and her brother Yamato always knew they were destined to run The 7th Moon after their father's passing. For years they ran the organization as equals, bringing in profit, success, and plans for expansion to the United States.

The idea was simple. Kaori would stay in Japan and maintain things at home, while Yamato would travel to America to set up an international presence.

Unfortunately for the siblings, some of their subordinates were not pleased with Kaori's plan to take command in Japan. The rebellion was swift and violent. Thanks to Yamato's sacrifice of his life to protect Kaori, she and a handful of his men were able to escape Japan to the United States.

Upon arrival, they were greeted by the man who was supposed to meet Yamato. Unfamiliar with Japanese names, he called Kaori "Yamato." She thought about correcting him, then kept the name — the best way to remember her brother, and to finish his dream of an international Seventh Moon.
