Identity

The Doorman changes where a fight can happen. He opens routes through the map and can send an enemy on an unwanted trip to the hotel.

Abilities

1. Call Bell

18 second cooldown

Throw out a call bell that deals spirit damage on impact. After a short delay it explodes, dealing additional spirit damage and causing affected enemies to suffer reduced weapon accuracy and movement slow. Can be shot to detonate early.

How to use. Put Call Bell at the enemy’s feet or on the place they are about to land. The delayed explosion is the damage, so avoid throwing it at maximum range into empty space.

2. Doorway

45 second cooldown

Place two connected doors in the world. Players and most projectiles entering one door will exit out through the other. The doors will close at the end of the duration. The two doors must be placed within the doorway distance of each other.

How to use. Place the exit first and then the entrance. Doorway can move players and most projectiles, which lets you create an isolation angle or move someone out of danger.

3. Luggage Cart

30 second cooldown

Send out a luggage Cart that deals spirit damage and pulls enemy heroes along its path. Can be alt cast with to target friendly heroes instead.

How to use. Send Luggage Cart down a hallway or toward a backliner where the impact can matter. Use the alternate cast to move allies out, and treat the cart’s impact as the stun window.

4. Hotel Guest

140 second cooldown

Send the target's physical body to be a guest at the Baroness Hotel. The guest is to promptly make their way to the exit elevator, where they'll be sent back to their original position. A stay at the Baroness Hotel is paid for in spirit damage. Failure to check-out on time costs additional spirit damage.

How to use. Use Hotel Guest on an important enemy when removing them gives your team a fight it can win. Account for the time they spend in the lobby and where they will return instead of using it without a follow-up plan.

Recent changes

August 12: Doorway range went from 70 meters to 65 meters. Luggage Cart pulls are no longer an instant stomp on Walkers or base turrets until shortly after the drop.

September 29: Valve lists Doorman fixes without detailing each interaction.
