Baba

Cackling · Beady · Hexing

Overview

Identity

Baba steals Spirit to strengthen her spells and gunfire. Her living bench keeps her moving, while a carefully chosen brew can protect an ally or leave an enemy unable to answer.

Abilities

1. Threadsap

26 second cooldown

Guide a thread with your crosshair, then burst it along its path to deal Spirit damage and steal Spirit from enemies. Stolen Spirit is more effective for Baba. While she holds stolen Spirit, her bullets deal additional Spirit damage.

First upgrade
+8 Spirit damage on bullet hits while holding stolen Spirit.
Second upgrade
-12s Cooldown; +8s stolen-Spirit duration.
Third upgrade · 5 points
+1 Charge; hits pull enemies 7m.

How to use. Lead the thread through an enemy's next position rather than flicking your aim away immediately. Follow a hit with gunfire while the stolen Spirit is active. The direct burst and the damage added to your bullets are separate effects.

2. Granny Long Legs

30 second cooldown

Extend the bench's legs to gain movement speed, higher jumps, debuff resistance, and melee resistance. Light melee becomes a knockback kick. Heavy melee becomes a ground pound that knocks enemies up, slows them, and adds Spirit damage. Hold crouch to charge a high jump, then release it.

First upgrade
+2.5 m/s movement speed during the effect.
Second upgrade
-7s Cooldown.
Third upgrade · 5 points
+15 percentage points of melee and debuff resistance; +50% melee lifesteal during the effect.

How to use. Use the bench to change elevation, reach a safer angle, or punish an enemy who has already committed. Keep track of the effect's remaining time before jumping into a crowded fight. Melee resistance is not bullet resistance.

3. Baba's Brew

25 second cooldown

Prepare a pot of tea, then throw it to apply one selected effect in an area. Soothing Brew grants a combat barrier, Silencing Brew silences enemies, and Scalding Brew burns enemies while reducing their Spirit resistance. The brew cycles between effects; aim-down-sights pauses or resumes the cycle.

First upgrade
+3m effect radius.
Second upgrade
-12s Cooldown.
Third upgrade · 5 points
+33.33% brew effectiveness: stronger barrier, burn, Spirit resistance reduction, and silence.

How to use. Choose the effect before you need to throw it. Pause on Soothing to protect a teammate, Silencing to prevent the enemy's next cast, or Scalding when your team can follow with Spirit damage. One pot applies the selected effect, not all three.

4. Feed The Birds

150 second cooldown

Channel to cover enemies in front of you with bread and apply a stacking slow. When the channel ends, pigeons strike marked enemies with Spirit damage and transform them into pigeons. More bread increases the damage and transformation duration.

First upgrade
+4m Cast Range; +32 percentage points maximum slow.
Second upgrade
-55s Cooldown.
Third upgrade · 5 points
+125 maximum damage; +1.5 Spirit scaling on maximum damage; +0.5s maximum pigeon duration.

How to use. Start from an angle your team can protect and keep intended targets in front of you while bread builds. Release early when staying exposed would cost your life. Maximum damage is the fully built result, not the damage of every pigeon hit.
