Abilities

1. Scrap Grenade

26 second cooldown

Throw a bouncing grenade that explodes several times, dealing bullet damage and slowing enemies. A melee hit can knock the grenade away.

First upgrade
-8s Cooldown
Second upgrade
70 additional damage per ordinary detonation.
Third upgrade · 5 points
Adds a larger final explosion with a longer fuse, greater radius, more bullet damage, and a stronger slow.

How to use. Send the grenade through the space an enemy needs to stand in, especially around a wave or a narrow approach. Keep firing while the explosions force them to move, and remember that a melee hit can change the grenade’s path.

2. Rat Swarm

24 second cooldown

Send rats onto enemies to deal Spirit damage and reduce bullet resistance with each bite. More attached rats bite faster; a ground or air dash shakes off a rat.

First upgrade
1 additional charge.
Second upgrade
A larger swarm and 4 seconds longer debuff duration.
Third upgrade · 5 points
8 additional damage and 1 additional percentage point of bullet resistance reduction per bite.

How to use. Send the swarm at an enemy you can immediately shoot. Wait for them to spend a dash when possible, so they have fewer chances to shed the rats before you follow up.

3. Royal Pestments

22 second cooldown

Gain a barrier based on your maximum health. While it holds, incoming bullets have a chance to be deflected toward their attacker. The barrier does not benefit from resistances.

First upgrade
+4s Duration
Second upgrade
-8s Cooldown; +15 percentage points bullet return chance
Third upgrade · 5 points
Caps each incoming damage hit at 250 while the armor is active and adds 10% of maximum health to the barrier.

How to use. Put the armor on before you take the return fire from a committed fight. It gives you a window to advance or keep shooting, but it can break and does not make you immune to damage.

4. Rule, Ratannia!

160 second cooldown

Raise a banner that gives nearby allies movement speed, slow immunity, and reduced incoming damage. Plant it to erupt the ground, dealing bullet damage, knocking enemies up, slowing them, and releasing rats that apply Rat Swarm.

First upgrade
+2 m/s aura movement speed
Second upgrade
+5s Flag Duration; +8m Radius
Third upgrade · 5 points
150 additional slam damage and 10 percentage points more damage reduction.

How to use. Bring the banner into a fight your teammates can reach, then plant it where its protection and the eruption both matter. An objective or a narrow approach gives enemies a reason to contest the area; planting it after they have already left wastes that opportunity.
