Use cover against Power Slash’s charge and keep a route back to your teammate when Yamato uses Flying Slash. Crimson Slash heals her when it hits a hero, so avoid letting her hit both of you at close range. Slow the enemy with Splatter. Save The Cube for yourself or your partner before heavy damage hits.
Hold damage during Shadow Transformation’s initial invincibility. Yamato returns with refreshed abilities, high resistance and immunity to negative effects. Move away if your team cannot fight through them.
Protect wounded teammates during Shadow Transformation; kills heal Yamato and extend it. Attack together after it ends. Fully upgraded Flying Slash gives her another charge and lets her escape to allies. Use Puddle Punch or Goo Ball to separate Yamato from the teammate she is threatening, choosing a route that does not carry you into the enemy team.
