Use cover against Power Slash’s charge and keep a route back to your teammate when Yamato uses Flying Slash. Crimson Slash heals her when it hits a hero, so avoid letting her hit both of you at close range. Hit an enemy hero with Scorn when you need its stronger healing. Use Sand Blast against gunfire; it does not stop ability casts.
Hold damage during Shadow Transformation’s initial invincibility. Yamato returns with refreshed abilities, high resistance and immunity to negative effects. Move away if your team cannot fight through them.
Protect wounded teammates during Shadow Transformation; kills heal Yamato and extend it. Attack together after it ends. Fully upgraded Flying Slash gives her another charge and lets her escape to allies. After Shadow Transformation ends, use Combo on Yamato only when your teammates can damage her during the hold and protect you while you channel.
