Full matchup plan

Early game · first 8 minutes

Use cover against Power Slash’s charge and keep a route back to your teammate when Yamato uses Flying Slash. Crimson Slash heals her when it hits a hero, so avoid letting her hit both of you at close range. Use Fire Scarabs before extending a shooting exchange, and take cover between opportunities to add Djinn’s Marks. Existing marks still damage their target when consumed or expired.

Mid game · Walkers

Hold damage during Shadow Transformation’s initial invincibility. Yamato returns with refreshed abilities, high resistance and immunity to negative effects. Move away if your team cannot fight through them.

Late game · Patron

Protect wounded teammates during Shadow Transformation; kills heal Yamato and extend it. Attack together after it ends. Fully upgraded Flying Slash gives her another charge and lets her escape to allies. After Shadow Transformation ends, hit Yamato with Fire Scarabs to reduce their damage, then follow with gunfire from cover.
