Use cover against Power Slash’s charge and keep a route back to your teammate when Yamato uses Flying Slash. Crimson Slash heals her when it hits a hero, so avoid letting her hit both of you at close range. Use Shoulder Charge to stun the enemy against a wall your partner can attack.
Hold damage during Shadow Transformation’s initial invincibility. Yamato returns with refreshed abilities, high resistance and immunity to negative effects. Move away if your team cannot fight through them.
Protect wounded teammates during Shadow Transformation; kills heal Yamato and extend it. Attack together after it ends. Fully upgraded Flying Slash gives her another charge and lets her escape to allies. After Shadow Transformation ends, stun Yamato against a nearby wall with Shoulder Charge, then use Siphon Life while your team attacks.
